Troop 890's Annual Olympics Campout

We'll meet Saturday morning, November 20 at 8 a.m. At Lake Highlands United Methodist church, then drive just North of McKinney for a day of fun activities for you and your boys. There will be Broomball, Fat Bat, Riflery, Archery, Soap Box Derby races and more plus an information meeting for parents. Then we'll cap the night off with a fried turkey feast and cobbler for dessert. There is no cost for this event.

Our first ever Mini-Camporee Troop Meeting

If you can't join us camping, stop by this special event at 7 pm on Monday, November 29th at Lake Highlands United Methodist Church. Your sons will compete in three scouting events: Tent-Pitching, Fire Building and Root Beer Chugging (while not technically a 'scouting' even per se, it's still a lot of fun). The boys will have a blast and there will be an information meeting to answer questions you might have about the troop.

Alternatively

If you can't make either of those we'll have a repeat performance of the Mini-Camporee sometime around February 21st, 2011, two weeks before the boys head out to the actual Camporee at Camp Cherokee near Athens, TX.

Weekly Troop Meetings

You are always welcome to come to a troop meeting. The Troop meets each Monday night at 7:00 during the school year with the exception of the Monday after campouts and breaks over the Christmas Holidays and Summer. Click here to view the troop calendar.
